Memento Mori, where? What?

Texture files in TARGA are out, DDS is the shit today. At first I thought this is a joke but now I see why. They choose TGA to display sum UI that has certain transparency which can't be made in DDS, cos they can compress it with the RLE id est - small size and yet no loss of quality. So far I know DDS can't be compressed without quality loss.

Why don't I have a facebook site for this?

Several reasons: facebook is gay, no free room for customization, my stuff may harm the youth, nudity is prohibited, Gravity US would flag me there and worst: espionage. Ofc it's a pro thing advertising at facebook but I leave it for now and will have to accept that.

I do have a facebook account but only for other tests and stuff. Gonna create a like site once I'll change my project title. Sum Insider Info

If u wanna know sum insider info, here we go.

Every nude textured gear I made in the mod is based on the original Bikini costume with the towel around the waist, for all races. It's the best one to make it nude and the towel was removed by blackening out the alpha channel in DDS. I didn't choose this costume to make nude cos it's the easiest. I did it cos of better skin and body details like collarbone, better shadings around the bewbs, knee and elbow. If I had choosen the easiest one it would be the underwear but the body details on that look odd.

The installation system in version 1.2 was plain coded in batch script, the .exe files too. Was put in one setup.exe and that's it. Prolly sum virus scanner might report it as a trojan but it isn't, just the runtime packer I used looks similar to those that usualy have malware. For the future I will work on a UI in C# and VB.N just 4 fun. For example you will be able to check/uncheck any nude skins or costumes according to your wishes and then run it.

If you did unpack my mod already, you see I have replaced .NIF files with my modded ones. For example I open T_W_S_Bikini_L.nif, change the path to the nude textures I made a folder for (RNM) and then rename & save. The DDS ofc I opened with PS, edited it and saved one in .PSD as a back-up and one in DDS which I have a plugin for. Then ofc I repacked it, theres a bunch of VDK packers out there. The .MAP file for each of the VDKs are bound to original, so I have to rename the MAP extension or move it elsewhere to run the mod.

Not that it was my secret but everyone with sum brain knows how to do. Sources, lots reading and sum PS skillz. BUT I'm not Jesus Christ for every single guy that wants 2 know exactly how I do it. Find it out on your own :)

Yeah... Fuggn Bug

I'm aware of the annoying bug in the mod v1.2 that randomly fucks up the textures on your toon and you see pink instead. I am testing now a new setting with a lower DDS resolution, assuming that the HD version I made for all DDS files I embedded in the DATA2.VDK seems to be too huge (2048px). Those can't be properly loaded in the game prolly when lot of toons are at same spot like Alban or in BFs/raids.

I will try lower them down by about a half (1024px) but unfortunately the texture quality will be weaker as well. Means genitals, pubic hair and nipples look a bit cheaper. I just hope this is the cause cos there is no other choice to fix it. Apparently the client can't stand working with huge DDS.

For the time being if you got fed up with that bug, I recommend to use the Requiem Nude Mod v1.1 for now. Cos the DDS files got a lower resolution(original size 512px), no texture bugs and is loading faster.

If you want to stay with the current version then avoid logging in game at crowded places, maybe it helps with the textures. Try avoid running other progs in the background that demand much power of your CPU and stop DLs.

Well, can't promise that I get this fixed one day but I'm doin my best.

A bit late but still, happy new year.
Got sum stuff to tell. I know sum of the team Mods or GMs/CMs watching my site 2 so here is what you have to know about.
Whether I retexture DDS in a more revealing kinky way or just alter gear, nobody has to accept fan-made stuff. Fact is the own fun by that since it's just a mod, isn't it? ;) Fortunately we got sum really awsum creative users whose works are way better than those awfully recolored gears made by the team. I envision myself as a part of a bunch of keen users who spends time in customizing Requiem for more fun. So if a few of you disagree simply don't use our mods :) Trolls that look like they don't give a damn still act incredulously or envy our awesum stuff. But after all in reality they download my mod either way just to jerk off LOL ;)

Requiem is an awsum game, it's just in hands of a sorry to say "lame" company. Don't have to count up all the bad stuff what they've done but the point is we creative users are willing to make more fun of it by creating mods like THIS. So let us doing it or do you want to see more leaving game. I even have lured sum back to game and playing with this awsum mod. Better than awfully fucking up the game like you do ;) /rant off

Now read this Official Retexturing Thread Official or not, as we know months back free texture modding seems 2 be allowed. There was a contest in which users could show their model texture modifications in the official thread suggested by the team themselves. According to Sakana's statement, he indeed did receive a go from the GMs to do so. If we aspire after the maximum of fun the team shall let us do what we want as long as it's allowed. After all it's lucrative what we're doing :) For us and for you(yeah the team that's prolly leaking my site). Consider it being a way of last improvements for a dying game my fellow gentlemen.

Anyways, there was once a rant of sum guy that had put it on YouTube below my trailer. This post is an answer to him, I deleted his post there tho. But I bet everyone could imagine how his rant looked like.

Nude textures is partially an exclusive feature in my mod but I've done more customized stuffs than nude. Even though if it's called Requiem Nude Mod cos that is the only mod atm. It's all about retexturing and in future there'll be more retextured sexy outfits for the other races besides Turan and even other retextured stuff. You may check this old post for more info. Might as well rename my project soon to indicate in the public that NUDITY will be only a minimal part of my mods in future :)

But I have to announce that I gotta slow down with the work on it for now since life is distracting.
